Display, hide built in toolbars
Like all other Microsoft Applications E-mail applications have a range of toolbars that can be opened or closed depending on the needs of the user.  The toolbars option can usually be found on the View menu.  In Outlook Express the Layout option on the View menu includes the following options.

To open/close toolbars:

  • Outlook Bar
  • Status Bar
  • Toolbar
  • Views Bar
  • Customize Toolbar

 

You can also change which parts of the window are displayed.  These include opening/closing:

  • Contacts pane

  • Folder Bar pane

  • Folder List pane

  • Preview pane
