SAVING ENERGY

Most monitors these days come with a "sleep" feature - it should be noted that computers and printers also have this option.  This feature means that where the equipment has been inactive for a period of time, from 5-30 minutes would be the norm, it will shut itself down into an inactive mode that uses less electricity.  When the user comes back to the machine and moves the mouse or sends a print job to the printer the device re-activates and functions as normal.

For users of Microsoft Windows the power save options can be adjusted using the Control Panel.
