• with broadband you can leave your connection ON all the time thus negating making and braking your connection
• with broadband you can get connected for a fixed fee per month, typically between £10 and £20 depending on the speed of connection and how much you can download
• with broadband you get high speed Internet access compared with dial-up (20 times grater at least)

There are however disadvantages to using broadband in that if you leaver your connection on all the time you are leaving your computer open to Internet fraudsters who can use your computer to launch denial of service attacks on other users.
