Over 90% of UK businesses use Microsoft Office, the world's leading application suite. In these courses you will learn how to operate a number of Microsoft Office applications which could include Word (Word Processing), Excel (Spreadsheets), Access (Database), PowerPoint (Presentations and Graphics), Publisher (Desk Top Publishing), FrontPage (Web Site Design), or alternatively you can learn about using the Internet.  In addition you will be required to take a core module on basic IT Principles.

Each course is available at three levels and is suitable for beginners who want to learn the basics about Microsoft applications and the more experienced user who wishes to expand their knowledge of IT. With expertise in these applications you will become a valuable asset to any employer.

You will find all the learning materials for your qualification online at the STW IT Learning Centre @ www.stwitlc.com. You can enrol at our online learning centre individually or as part of a College group.  In the centre you will find:

• all the study materials for your chosen course

• mock exam papers (for e-Quals)

• links to useful web sites

• e-Portfolio tools for iTQ course

All modules are available via our own e-Learning LMS which uses Moodle.

The modules are based on Microsoft Office 2000/XP/2003/2007 and the Windows operating system.

If you don't want to attend a centre but would rather do "Distance Learning" or "Home Study" or "Home Schooling" you can do either of the above with us at our e-learning portal, the STW IT Learning Centre.

Each e-Quals/iTQ online course consists of: practical step-by-step workbook exercises; video clips; online "knowledge" web pages; interactive multiple-choice tests; additional practical exercises; mock exam papers (e-Quals); links to appropriate web sites; access to forums.

It should be noted that e-Quals/iTQ Online are a combination of online learning and practical step-by-step exercises undertaken off-line.

If you choose to undertake your course at your local C&G approved centre you will be given tutorial support from the staff there.

Alternatively we can provide one-to-one tutorial support via email and the phone. This is charged at £185 per course - this includes the enrolment fees for the course.

iTQ 7574
The City & Guilds iTQ is a well recognised IT qualification across the UK. 

To obtain a qualification you will be required to produce a number of pieces of work which will vary depending on the modules you choose and where you are working. You will need to negotiate with your supervisor exactly what you need to submit.

e-Portfolio - our online courses included all the tools to complete your study over the internet including building your portfolio electronically (i.e. an e-portfolio).

e-Quals
The City & Guilds e-Quals is a well recognised IT qualification across the UK. 

To obtain a qualification you can undertake the exam at your local C&G approved centre. You will be required to take one assessment for each module you study.

With this course you will be able to apply for a job as a data entry clerk and could earn up to £25,000.
